This two-day adventure immerses you in the captivating world of the ksour of the Berber region, starting with Matmata , famous for its troglodyte houses which served as the setting for the Star Wars saga.
Then, head to Tamezret , a charming perched Berber village where you will have the privilege of enjoying an authentic meal at a local's home, while discovering traditional gastronomy and sharing moments with the locals.
Our journey continues to Touja ne , a village remarkable for its stone houses which blend in with the surrounding landscape.
You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in local crafts, with the discovery of kilim rugs and woolen bakhnoug shawls, symbols of ancestral Berber art.

The ksour of Tunisia are granaries used by one or more tribes, and they are mainly located between Matmata and Tataouine, with nearly 150 ksour listed in this area.
These ksour are part of the cultural heritage of the region and bear witness to its historical and sociological evolution. Generally, a ksar has a single entrance protected by a door, except in the case of plain ksour.
These places were spaces of social life, used for meetings, welcoming visitors and commercial exchanges.
The ghorfas, which are storage cells, are arranged around

Some ksour, like Ksar Ouled Soltane, can have up to 440 ghorfas, while the average is between 150 and 200.
Ghorfas are small rooms closed from the outside, designed to store food products for long periods.
Cereals were stored in the lower part, possibly separated by low walls, while olives and cheeses were hung in the upper part, ventilated by openings in the exterior and interior walls.
