Which tour should I choose to see the desert from Djerba?
For a first visit to the desert from Djerba, Ksar Ghilane is often the best choice.
For a fuller experience, including sunset and a night in the Sahara, a two-day tour is a better option, such as our two-day Ksar Ghilane tour.
Should I choose a one-day or two-day desert tour?
A day trip lets you discover Ksar Ghilane or Douz and return to Djerba in the evening.
Allow for a long drive: approximately 3½ to 4 hours on the outward journey, depending on the destination and itinerary.
A two-day tour also gives you time to enjoy the evening and a night in the desert.
What is the difference between Ksar Ghilane, Tataouine and Matmata?
Ksar Ghilane is the choice for dunes and an oasis. Tataouine and Chenini focus on Berber villages and fortified granaries.
Matmata is known for its cave homes. The tour combining Matmata and Douz also includes a stop at the gateway to the Sahara.
Are the tours suitable for families with children?
Several itineraries are suitable for families. Tell us your children’s ages so we can recommend an appropriate trip length and route.
We take driving times, breaks and planned activities into account. A baby car seat can be requested when booking.
What time is pick-up?
Departures are generally between 6.30 am and 7.30 am, with pick-up from your hotel or accommodation.
The exact time depends on your chosen tour, the season and your location on the island.
We will confirm it with you when you book.
Will we share the vehicle with other travellers?
No. Our departures do not depend on forming a group.
You will not share the vehicle with other travellers.
The tour is organised exclusively for your party, with a dedicated driver and guide and an itinerary adapted to your pace.
What is included in the price?
The price includes private transport and the services listed in the itinerary: guiding, visits, meals and accommodation where specified.
Quad biking and camel rides are included in tours specifically built around those activities.
They may be available as optional extras on other tours.
How do I book, and what deposit is required?
Open your chosen itinerary and use its booking form, or contact us with your dates, accommodation details and number of participants.
We will confirm the details and price. A 10% deposit confirms your booking.
Some tours can also be paid for directly online.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before departure for tours without accommodation, and up to 5 days before departure for tours that include accommodation.
Payment processing fees are non-refundable.
All cancellation requests must be sent by email.
