2-DAY PROGRAM FROM ZARZIS (KSOUR, MATMATA & DESERT NIGHT)
Day 1: Zarzis – Dahar & ksour – Oasis and dunes (overnight in camp)

Early departure from your hotel in Zarzis for a scenic drive through semi-desert landscapes.

First stop: visit the salt lake of Zarzis, where shifting colours create a unique view.

Then: stop at Ksar Oued Soltane, one of the finest Berber granaries.

Continue to Chenini, a Berber village perched on a hillside, then enjoy a local lunch at a restaurant in Guermassa.

Arrival at the Ksar Ghilane oasis, a Saharan stop on the itinerary where rocky desert gives way to golden dunes.
Optional activities: camel ride €15/hour and/or quad biking in the dunes €30/hour.
Evening and night under the desert stars (Saharan camp):

Settle into your private, comfortable tent with real bedding, Saharan atmosphere and dinner under the stars.

Watch a traditional demonstration of baking bread in the sand.

Dinner under a starry sky, followed by a walk in the dunes for a memorable experience.
Day 2: Matmata and Tamezret – Traditions and hospitality

Breakfast at the camp.

Drive to Matmata to discover its troglodyte homes, used as film sets for the Star Wars saga.

Authentic lunch in Tamezret, hosted by locals to share a traditional meal and experience Tunisian hospitality.

Visit the Berber village of Toujane.
Return to Zarzis via Medenine:

In the late afternoon, drop-off at your accommodation with unforgettable memories.

If you are sensitive to the cold, for camping we recommend sports tracksuits for sleeping and if you need to go out at night.
