Then you will go to Ksar Hallouf, an old Berber fortress perched on a hill. You can admire the panoramic view of the surroundings, including desert landscapes and green oases.

You will continue your excursion to Ksar Hadada, a fortified village that was used as a setting in the Star Wars saga films.
You can explore the iconic sets and immerse yourself in the world of the famous film franchise.

You will have a lunch break in a traditional restaurant located in the village of Guermassa. You will have the opportunity to taste local dishes, typical of Berber cuisine, while enjoying the authentic atmosphere of the village.
After lunch, you will visit the village of Chenini, perched on a hill. Accompanied by your guide, you will discover the narrow streets, stone houses and traditional Berber architecture. You will learn about the culture and history of this picturesque village.
Finally, you will go to the Ksar of Medenine, an old fortified citadel that once served as a refuge and center of commerce. You will be able to explore stone structures, underground passages and learn more about the history of this area.

  • Departure from your place of stay in Gabès for Matmata: You will be picked up at your hotel or place of stay in Gabès at 7:30 a.m. and you will leave by 4X4 in the direction of Matmata.

  • Visit of Matmata and the troglodyte houses: Once arrived in Matmata, you will have the opportunity to visit the emblematic troglodyte houses of the region.You will be able to explore these unique underground dwellings and learn more about the way of life of the inhabitants.

  • Visit of Ksar Hallouf: You will continue your excursion by visiting Ksar Hallouf, an ancient Berber fortress perched on a hill. You can admire the panoramic view of the surroundings and discover the typical architecture of the region.
