Start your day of adventure from Djerba by 4x4, early in the morning at 7:30 am, to make the most of your excursion.

Take the Roman road, which connects the mainland to the island of Djerba, and learn about its importance as a freshwater supply channel for the island, including through a pipeline.

Along the way, you will pass through olive groves offering picturesque views. Take a photo break at the salt lake of Sebkhet el Melah, a captivating place that offers unique landscapes.

Stop in Tataouine for a coffee break and explore the local market, if open, for an immersion in the city's bustling atmosphere.

Start your discovery by visiting the Ksar Ouled Soltane, a superb ksar off the beaten track that will allow you to discover the traditional architecture and the history of the region, scenes from Star Wars were filmed there.

Before enjoying your lunch in Guermassa, explore the hilltop village of Chenini. This former Berber village is a remarkable site and one of the most visited in the region. Nestled on a ridge, it blends harmoniously into the color of the mountain rock.

You can admire the troglodyte dwellings, built into the rock, and immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of this place steeped in history.

The guided visit of Chenini will last approximately one hour, but you will also have the possibility to extend your stay if you wish, in order to benefit more from this unique experience.

After lunch, continue your adventure by heading to Ksar El Ferech and then Ksar Hadada, a site famous for having served as a filming location for scenes from George Lucas' famous film, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Soak up the ambience and atmosphere of this iconic location.

Then, take the road towards Medenine, a crossroads city and one of the last before reaching Ben Gardane and Libya.

In Médenine, you will discover the ancient ksar, which is one of the many Berber ksours you have visited throughout the day.

These old fortified granaries are made up of compartments in which the Berbers stored their food reserves.

Explore this fascinating example of traditional architecture and immerse yourself in local history.

After this busy day, take the road back to Djerba via the Roman road. Take advantage of this last part of your trip to soak up once again the beauty of Tunisian landscapes.
