The first day of our two-day excursion from Gabès to Tataouine promises to be rich in cultural and historical discoveries.
We will leave your place of stay in Gabes at 7:30 am and head to the Ksar of Medenine, an ancient fortified city that bears witness to the rich and fascinating history of the region. You can explore the narrow streets, admire the traditional architecture and feel the authentic atmosphere that reigns in this place steeped in history.
After visiting the Ksar of Medenine, we will have a coffee break in Tataouine. Take advantage of this time to soak up the local atmosphere, stroll through the streets and discover the hidden treasures of this charming town.
Then we will continue our journey visiting the Ksar Ouled Soltane, an emblematic site known for its Ghorfas, traditional storage structures used by the Berbers to preserve their harvests. You can admire the unique architecture of this ksar and learn more about the ancestral way of life of the inhabitants of the region.
For lunch, we will go to a typical restaurant in the village of Guermassa, where you can taste tasty local dishes and further immerse yourself in Berber cuisine and culture.
After regaining our strength, we will continue our exploration with a guided visit to the village of Chennini.
You will have the opportunity to stroll through the picturesque alleys, admire the traditional houses and meet the friendly inhabitants of this authentic Berber village.

On the second day, after enjoying a delicious breakfast in the troglodyte lodge, we will begin our second day of exploring the Berber region.
Our first stop will be at Ksar Jouamaa, another magnificent example of traditional Berber architecture. You will be dazzled by the intricate details of the facades, the narrow alleys and the peaceful interior courtyards of this ksar. Take advantage of this visit to learn more about the history and culture of the region.
Then we will go to Ksar Hallouf, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. Take the time to soak up the beauty of the surrounding landscapes and admire the traditional buildings that stand proudly.
For an even more immersive experience, we will have lunch with the locals in Tamezret.
You will have the opportunity to taste the local cuisine and share a convivial meal with the locals.
