Start your equestrian adventure with an early morning departure from Djerba in a private 4x4 towards Douz, the gateway to the desert.
In Douz, you will meet our rider guides and the horses who will accompany you on this adventure. Then, go for a day of horseback riding in the vastness of the desert.
Savor lunch in the bivouac, followed by dinner under the stars before spending the night in your private tents or in a Saharan camp, depending on the season.
After an invigorating breakfast, hop back in the saddle for another day of exploring the desert landscape. The hike continues through the dunes, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
After lunch, you will begin the return trip to Douz.
When you arrive in Douz, you will have time to rest before taking the 4x4 back to Djerba.
Get ready for an unforgettable experience as you travel the vast expanses of the Tunisian desert on horseback. A real treat for horse riding enthusiasts.
HORSE-RIDING PROGRAM
Day 1: Djerba > Douz > Desert
Pick up at your place of stay in Djerba, then transfer to Douz.
There we will meet our horse guides and their horses and we will leave for the first stage of our horseback ridingin the white sand of the desert, a gigantic quarry.
After two hours of hiking, lunch break, preparedby the guide.
Resumption of our ride for 3 hours in the dunes.
Bivouac, dinner and night in the desert in individual tents, or in a Saharan camp depending on the season.
Day 2: Desert > Douz > Djerba
Breakfast and departure 3 hours of hiking, lunch breakwith the rider guide.
Resumption of our walk to find Douz.
Return to your place of stay in Djerba at the end of the afternoon.
