DETAILED PROGRAM (DEPARTURE FROM DJERBA)
Your private 4×4 adventure starts at 7:30 am with pick-up from your accommodation in Djerba.
Day 1 — Djerba → Matmata → Douz → Tozeur

Depart from Djerba in a private 4×4.

Matmata: visit a troglodyte home and discover a culture that shaped the landscape.

Drive to Douz, then cross Chott El Jerid: a world of salt, shimmering light and mirages.

Arrive in Tozeur: check-in, dinner, overnight.
Day 2 — Mountain oases + Ong Jmel / Mos Espa

A full “landscapes” day: Chebika, Tamerza and Midès.

Canyons, cliffs, palm groves and springs — a Tunisia that is both mineral and green.

Afternoon: Ong Jmel and Mos Espa, between desert and cinema.

Return to Tozeur: dinner, overnight.
Day 3 — Tozeur → Douz → Ksar Ghilane (overnight in the desert)

Morning: enjoy time in Tozeur (medina, crafts, oasis atmosphere).
Then head to Douz, and enter the true Saharan zone.
Arrive at Ksar Ghilane: oasis time and possible swim in the natural hot spring.
Optional: quad €30/hour / camel ride €15/hour.
Late afternoon: take the desert track to the camp, dinner, and night under the stars.
Day 4 — Ksar Ghilane → Chenini → ksour → Return to Djerba

Sunrise over the dunes (season permitting), then drive to the Dahar region: Chenini, panoramas, stone architecture and troglodyte habitats.

Visit an emblematic ksar (Ouled Soltane, depending on routing).

Return to Djerba in the late afternoon.
