The departure is early in the morning from Djerba, towards the oasis of Ksar Ghilane. On site, our experienced camel drivers will be waiting for you with everything you need for an authentic lunch in the middle of the desert.
After an introduction to camel riding, you will embark on a three-hour hike through the ocher dunes of the desert, in the soothing silence of the Sahara. In the middle of your journey, you will take a break for a traditional lunch, prepared by your camel drivers, in the heart of the dunes.
A privileged moment to savor the tranquility and natural beauty of the desert.
At the end of the afternoon, after this day full of emotions and discoveries, you will return to Ksar Ghilane, where your 4x4 will be waiting for you to take you back to Djerba.

Your adventure begins at 6:30 a.m. with pickup from your place of stay in Djerba. We will take the road to the oasis of Ksar Ghilane, with a coffee break and photo session in a cafe in the middle of the desert, a picturesque place in the middle of nowhere.

Upon arrival at Ksar Ghilane, our camel guides and their dromedaries will be waiting for you for the start of your three-hour hike through the ocher sand dunes. It is a unique experience that allows you to discover the wild beauty of the Tunisian desert and immerse yourself in the soothing silence of the Sahara.

At lunchtime, the camel driver will prepare a traditional Tunisian meal for you in the desert: a Tunisian salad, grilled meats and bread baked in the sand. A real moment of sharing and conviviality in the heart of the desert.
