Prepare yourself for a real adventure with this 4-day 4x4 tour through the Tunisian desert, where you will discover the immense dunes,
Lake Houidath Erreched, and Tembaine mountain.
It will be like a little Paris-Dakar within everyone’s reach!
You will leave Zarzis in the morning to reach Douz.
After lunch, you will take the trail towards your first Saharan camp, located at the foot of the Tembaine mountain.
You will dine there and spend the night in very comfortable private tents.
The next day, after breakfast, and having deflated the tires of the 4X4, you will continue the track towards Lake Houidath Erreched.
The dunes will become larger and larger and you will alternate between desert areas with stones, and dune crossing.
You will have a picnic lunch in the heart of the desert.
In the late afternoon, you will finally reach Lake Houidath Erreched, an isolated oasis surrounded by immense sand dunes.
You can bathe in the spring before setting up camp and preparing for an excellent meal under the stars.
The next day, you will leave by another route to reach Tembaine and the camp, where you can enjoy a well-deserved shower.
The next day you will return to Zarzis via Douz.
This 4-day 4x4 tour promises you a thrilling adventure through the Tunisian desert, with breathtaking landscapes, nights under the stars and the discovery of exceptional places.

Day 1 :

You will be picked up at 7 am from your place of stay in Zarzis or Djerba airport.

You will be transferred by 4x4 to Douz, where you will have lunch in a local restaurant.

Then, you will leave by the track, bypassing the Jbil park, towards the mountain plateau of Tembaine.

You will spend the night in a Saharan camp in the heart of the great Erg Oriental.

You can settle down and enjoy a moment of calm, dine around the fire and spend a comfortable night in a tent.
Day 2:

After waking up, you will have breakfast and enjoy free time to immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the desert.

Then, you will leave in the direction of the great Erg and Lake Houidath Erreched. You will have lunch at the lake and have free time to relax in the oasis.

You will prepare and set up the bivouac for the following night.

You will dine around the fire and spend another unforgettable night in the desert in a comfortable tent.
Day 3:

After waking up and having breakfast, enjoy some quiet time in the desert to soak up the peaceful ambiance that surrounds you. Then you will depart towards the Tembaine mountain by taking another route.

You will have lunch in the middle of the desert, in the middle of the dunes, before arriving at Tembaine.

You will spend the night in a Saharan camp in the heart of the great Erg Oriental.

You can settle down, enjoy a moment of calm, dine around the fire and spend a comfortable night in a tent.
Day 4:

After waking up and having breakfast, you will still enjoy a momentcalm in the desert before starting your return to Douz.

You will have lunch in Douz to regain your strength.

Then you will be transferred to Zarzis to complete the circuit.
This four-day tour will allow you to discover the wonders of the Tunisian Sahara desert. You will experience moments of calm and serenity, enjoy breathtaking landscapes and spend magical nights under the stars.
The desert camp at Tembaine and the bivouac at Lake Houidath Erreched will be unforgettable experiences.
